Turning passion into a plan, and dreams into a reality.

Turning passion into a plan, and dreams into a reality.

Why is dance one of the few college and career paths with no clear structure and very little guidance? You might hear the occasional major success stories and become hooked on reaching those goals, but, often, dancers are never walked through what pursuing a career in dance ACTUALLY looks like, and how in the world you reach those dreams.

That’s where The Fuse Program comes in - a course designed to help dancers build sustainable, fulfilling careers that do not consist of burnout, financial strain, and instability. By integrating each dancer’s unique strengths, talents, and passions, The Fuse provides clarity of purpose and personalized action plans aligned with each individual’s goals.

As the entertainment industry evolves — with increasing competition and fewer traditional opportunities — it is critical to prepare dancers for long-term success. The Fuse takes a holistic approach, equipping students with the tools, strategies, and mindset to navigate the realities of the field while creating a balanced, meaningful, and joyful life both in and beyond performance.

A peek into my story…

Flashback to my sophomore year in high school: 16 year old Izzy decided she wanted to be a dance major in college. I had absolutely no idea what that looked like, or where to begin researching schools and their unique programs. So I began my quest, digging through countless articles and websites that listed a handful of programs and attempted to explain what they had to offer. I somehow managed to narrow down my list of schools, and I threw myself into the application and audition process with little guidance.

Flash forward to six years later, I graduated Chapman University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Entrepreneurship, and shortly after I moved across the country to pursue a professional career in New York City. Since then, I have learned what it truly means to make performance your career, and the importance of setting a career path that is right for YOU and encompasses all your needs(interests, talents, finances, etc.). I’ve created friendships with dancers from across the country who have experienced a host of different college programs, teams, and career pathways, and I’ve taken note of two common challenges many dancers face:

The first - the college search hill:

This is the hump we face when beginning our research on colleges and potential career paths. We have difficulty understanding our options and narrowing down the scope depending on career trajectories.

The second - the post-grad mountain:

This is the mountain we climb when hit with the realities of the professional field in this day and age. There are more pathways than you could think to imagine, and there are tidbits of knowledge you start to pick up on that they don’t teach you in school.

The Fuse program is designed to flatten the college search hill, which then lowers the post-grad mountain to become an easy incline that you feel prepared to take on. I am passionate about helping dancers understand what their options are and feel encouraged, supported, and inspired along the way. Join me and we’ll take on this journey as a team!
